Wedding Planning Checklist

Congratulations! You're Engaged! Once the excitement dies down (just a little), you will realize that there is a great deal of planning to do for one of the most important days of your life, your wedding day. To help brides and their families plan for their wedding day, Luxury Wedding Invites has provided a free wedding planning checklist (see below), which can serve as your initial guide to making your own wedding specific list. Make sure that you add your own additional "TO DO" items because every wedding is different. The items on the wedding planning checklist which can provide have been highlighted and hyperlinked to specific products to help take care of ALL YOUR STATIONERY NEEDS.

12 Months Before
-Send out Save the Date Cards
-Determine a wedding date and location
-Decide your guest numbers (make a guest list)
-Make a budget for your wedding
-Book your wedding and reception venues
-Book your wedding official or clergy
-Ask people to be in your wedding party
-Order wedding rings

1 Month Before
-Plan rehearsal dinner, order Rehearsal Party Invitations Rehearsal Dinner Party Invitations and send out
-Obtain Marriage license
-Meet with photographer and videographer
-Order Place Cards, Seating Plans, and Table Number Cards for reception

9 to 12 Months Before
-Buy wedding dress
-Select dresses for attendants
-Book photographer, videographer, DJ, musicians, rental items, limousine
-Order wedding cake, arrange catering, and choose flowers
-Complete gift registries
-Plan honeymoon

2 Weeks Before
-Finalize reception details, seating plan, favors, menu cards, place cards, decor
-Call invitees who have not replied
-Draft speeches
-Meet with hairdresser, make-up artist, musicians or disc jockey to make final plans
-Confirm honeymoon plans

6 to 9 Months Before
-Order Wedding Invitations
-Decide on Menu order Printed Menu Cards
-Order Wedding Favors & Favor Stickers
-Obtain Marriage license
-Complete marriage license requirements

1 Week Before
-Confirm final numbers with caterer
-Write any cheques required for wedding day
-Pick up groomsmen attire
-Confirm limo, guest accommodations, and duties of helpers for the day
-Have your ceremony rehearsal and rehearsal dinner the night before
-Pack for honeymoon

3 to 6 Months Before
-Finalist orders with the florist and bakery
-Make appointments to get your hair, nails, and makeup done for your wedding day
-Organize participants in wedding ceremony
-Book men’s attire

On the Day of Your Wedding
-Give wedding rings and cheques to Best Man and or the Maid of Honor
-Give gifts to attendants and parents
-Get ready and enjoy your special day

2 Months Before
-Finalize guest list
-Mail out Wedding Invitations
-Decide on wedding vows
-Confirm details with clergy and musicians
-Order Wedding Church Programs
-Purchase gifts for parents and attendants
-Schedule final wedding dress fitting

After the Wedding
-Make a gift list and send out personalized Thank You Cards to your guests
-Send thank you notes to suppliers and attendants
